Just four days to the 2024 OHA Biennial Conference and registration has closed.
We can’t wait to see all those who have booked for our conference in Naarm/Melbourne next week.
Pre-conference workshops will be held on Thursday 21 November with the conference running on Friday 22 November and Saturday 23 November. A post-conference tour to the Living Museum of the West will be held on Sunday 24 November.
Our conference theme ‘The Power of Oral History—Risks, Rewards & Possibilities’ taps into the many powerful features of oral history practice including the potential to evoke powerful emotions, bring forth new voices and engage new audiences through multimedia.
Our keynote speaker is the legendary Alessandro Portelli. Over more than 50 years, Alessandro has been one of the most influential oral historians in the world. His keynote is titled ‘Bread and Labor: The Lost and Found Humanity of Giuseppe Di Porto, Auschswitz Survivor. A twice-told tale.’.
